Virginia Wins Bid for International Cycling Event

Pro Racers at the Clarendon Cup

Exciting news for the United States. Richmond Virginia will host the 2015 UCI World Championship Road races.

News of securing the bid is timely. The financial benefits of hosting the event are creating a lot of excitement in the region during a time when economics is on everyone’s mind.

More than 400,000 people are expected to attend, 300 million watch on television, and generate over $135 Million in revenue during the September 2015 race event.
